Camp Lee Engagement | Megan + Gaines

Christmas is quickly approaching!! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!

Just before Thanksgiving I met with Megan and Gaines to take their engagement photos. Although there was a threat of rain (thankfully only a drizzle while we were shooting these), we had to make it work due to their schedules. I’m so glad because the clouds made for a perfect fall look.

Megan & Gaines were troopers and withstood the drizzle and cold for some fun photos. I can’t wait for their big day, I just know it’s going to be fun! These were taken at Camp Lee in Anniston.

Here are some of my favorites!!

We just HAD to get them on the tire swing! So cute!:)

Downtown Birmingham Engagement | Jodi + Austin

There are no words for how cute these two are! Both are working hard in Grad school towards amazing careers, but they took a little break from studying to hang out with me for a little while. It was so much fun!  They even brought their dog, Tucker, along and of course that made my day (it’s no secret I’m a dog lover). I have loved meeting these two and getting to know them a little! It only makes me more excited for their wedding day!:)We started on Morris Ave in downtown Birmingham, and then headed to Jemison Park for a more casual look.  Enjoy some of my favorites!!!

So fierce! Love it!

This dog is loved.

Kaitlyn + Jeremiah | The Wedding

When dealing with issues the week before the wedding, it is difficult not to get frustrated an anxious. Kaitlyn and Jeremiah had some major bumps in the road, but I knew everything would work out, especially when Kaitlyn said “I want our wedding to glorify God”. They were both calm and joyful and, of course, the day went perfectly!

Kaitlyn got ready at the beautiful and historic Tutwiler Hotel in downtown Birmingham. Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at Mountain Chapel Methodist Church where Jeremiah currently works with the youth.

These two are such a fun couple and I believe their wedding day did just what they set out for it to do, glorify God.

Here are some of my favorites form their big day!!:)

Kaitlyn & Jeremiah’s ceremony was different than any we’ve shot, because we weren’t allowed to take any photos during the ceremony. I love that Kaitlyn and Jeremiah had an artist capture their ceremony a different way.

I was, however, able to capture a couple before and after the ceremony, so of course I jumped right on that!:)

Peidmont Park Engagement | Lauren & Brian

For those who really know us, they know that our lives have been split between Birmingham and Gadsden for a while now. What a blessing it is to our family to be able to move to Birmingham! I keep telling myself that, in order to get through the chaos of moving.. with a 10 month old! It is a blessing though, and we’ve already noticed a huge difference in the time that we get to spend together as a family since Jordan is no longer driving an hour to get home. We love it here!

What does that have to do with this lovely engagement session (other than explaining why it took me so long to post their preview on the blog)? Not too much. I did shoot this session the DAY before we moved. In ATLANTA. We scheduled this session with Lauren before we knew our closing date, and with us already having to reschedule once due to whether, and the fact that Lauren and Brian were in the process of moving themselves, I thought it was best to keep the date scheduled.

And it went perfectly! And lets face it, what new home couldn’t use a few things from IKEA?

So on Sunday, the day before we moved, I met Lauren and Brian at piedmont park at 8am for this session. We had so much fun exploring the park and finding great locations for shooting. They are incredibly cute together, as you will see! They have also been SO patient with me as it has taken longer than usual to get their preview up. I cannot wait for their big day next year!

Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session!:)
