Maggie was coming back home to Alabama for a friend’s wedding completely unaware that she was about to meet the man of her dreams. She had recently laughed off a joke about “meeting the one you will marry at a wedding”. As crazy as it sounded to her then, she knows it was God’s plan now. Maggie met Will at that very wedding and now the two are about to become man and wife!
Maggie had been living in San Diego for a few years helping to start a church in that area. I’ve actually had the opportunity to check out their website myself and I’m so pleased to see what God is doing over there! You can check it out yourself at elevatesandiego.com
Maggie warned us about Will, by telling us that he wasn’t extremely thrilled about taking photos (and seriously, what guy is?). We were surprised to see how comfortable he was in front of the camera. I’m convinced that he loves Maggie so much that it was easy being “loving”, even in front of us. Either way, they were such a fun couple to work with! Can’t wait for their wedding in March!
We shot their photos at Lake Haven, which is an old campsite where people would go in the 70’s. There was a beautiful lake with old diving boards and an empty swimming pool. The fact that it hasn’t been used in years and it was all grown up gave a very vintage feel and I just loved everything about it!
